Nánari lýsing:

Institutional Investors are increasingly encountering regulatory barriers — such as antitrust concerns and new SEC interpretations — when seeking to exercise active ownership through proxy voting and engagement dialogues.

This is particularly evident in the US, where the Trump administration, through new rules and stricter interpretations of existing legislation, is openly challenging the advancement of sustainability and ESG principles.

In this webinar, three experts from the international law firm Wilson Sonsini will provide an overview of the key regulatory risks and barriers that institutional investors should be aware of in connection to proxy voting and engagement dialogues.

They will also elaborate on the differences between European and U.S. regulation, how U.S.- and Europe-based investors, asset managers, and service providers are affected, and what concrete steps can be taken to mitigate these new risks and barriers.

Following the presentation, there will be time for questions and further discussion.

The three presenters are Brent Snyder, Partner based in the US and heading Wilson Sonsini’s Regulatory Practices; Jindrich Kloub, Partner based in Brussels, heading the firm’s European Antitrust Team and Amanda Urquiza, Partner based in the US with extensive experience advising on SEC compliance etc.
